Jubilee Pool Café
The popular Jubilee Pool Café operates as a social enterprise with all profits reinvested for the future of the pool. The café and kitchen is currently being rebuilt thanks to our geothermal fundraising initiative. Watch this space to find out more when we reopen in Summer 2020 with our new all-year-round café facilities including all new café-bar-restaurant.
Jubilee Pool Café is now closed until Summer 2019 - watch this space.
About the Café
There is a large covered seating area with shelter from the weather in the winter and shade from the sun in summer. It's fitted with heaters for the winter season and on fine days there's lots of space on our outside terrace with panoramic views over the pool, St Michael’s Mount and across Mounts Bay to Newlyn.
The Café was totally refurbished for the 2017 summer season with new staff, menus, kitchen and most importantly, now operated wholly for the benefit of Jubilee Pool. Our aim is to raise money to keep the pool in tip top condition, and equally to service the community and swimmer’s needs.
All our food is prepared daily at the poolside, combining quality ingredients and exciting flavours. Our famous sausage rolls were even mentioned in 'The Daily Telegraph' soon after opening and are well on their way to being more famous than the pool itself.
We only use Cornish free range eggs, Cornish butter, milk & cream and Cornish bacon and sausages.
We make lots of cakes in house and try to cater for a variety of dietary requirements such as gluten free, dairy free, nut free, vegan (though not all in one cake).
We love big bold flavours like our sea salted caramel chocolate brownies with espresso & ground almond, delicate florals such as our elderflower & raspberry polenta cake (GF) and tongue tingling pink grapefruit & pistachio loaf with Campari syrup.
