Jubilee Pool Café
If you love great food and drink, you're in for a treat!
Jubilee Pool Café will reopen in late May as a social enterprise with all profits being used to offset the pool’s future operation. Serving a range of delicious food and drinks for pool users and visitors throughout the season; it is also planned to operate during the winter months.
Friends of Jubilee Pool are delighted to announce that Flo Gibson has been appointed as the new manager of the café. In March it was confirmed that the pool would be leased for 99 years to a newly formed Community Benefit Society formed by the Friends, the charitable organisation established over 25 years ago; whose sole aim is to ensure the pool is safeguarded, maintained and operated for the communities benefit.
Flo said of her new role "Being able to use my passion for food and hospitality to help look after our iconic seawater lido is a dream come true opportunity for me. I remember visiting the pool with my Nana as a little girl, and have ever since held it dear to my heart. I cannot wait to get started, meeting our customers and serving them great food, coffee and experiences.

Martin Nixon, Chair of Friends of Jubilee Pool said "I’m delighted to welcome Flo and we look forward to working with her. We’re very confident that she has the experience and energy required to create a very attractive and successful venue. I wasn’t involved with the interview process because as well as being an excellent choice, she also happens to be my niece! However, I’m obviously delighted that our trustees selected her for this important role. Most importantly the café will now contribute significant funds towards the pool’s future".
