Swim Safe a big success at Jubilee Pool
Took part, stayed safe and had fun!
This summer Jubilee Pool was the perfect setting for more than 300 children from local schools who took part in a brand new water safety programme at Jubilee Pool. Swim Safe for schools is a partnership between the ASA, the national governing body for swimming in England and the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea. The scheme saw partners working together to offer FREE improver swimming tuition and water safety advice for children aged 7 - 14 to enable them to swim and learn to be safe in open water.
Aimed at pupils who could already swim 25 metres unaided, Swim Safe for Schools taught children the essential techniques to enable them to be safe in and around open water. These skills are so important for children that live by the sea and were incredibly well received by local schools.
